Yesterday I was out there to make pictures of the new tender of A, I think it's a Pascoe. In the tender garage we can see the Vaudrey Miller open.

Definitely qualifies as an extreme toy, Baby Carcharias (Pershing 88), tender of Carcharias (Pershing 115). You'd think it less expensive, and more practical, to keep one big boat going than it would be for have two medium sized boats. Big boats have bigger systems, 2 smaller boats have twice the sytems, twice the maintenance, twice the crew, twice the headaches, etc...

On the new webpage www.yachttender.de you can see the first limousine tender design with 2m headroom in the cabin and only 1,8m storage height. It’s the Chameleon 3200.

Lionchase, the Mangusta 108/27, seems to be the new (large) tender of the Benetti Lionheart. The yacht was moored alongside her mother ship.

Sorry, you must called the builder Yachtwerft Meyer and not Meyerwerft, there is a big difference! Confirmation that it is a tender of Predator. Here is the link : http://www.yachtwerft-meyer.de/...

Here is the first picture of one of the two tenders of Predator. Note the inverted bow. Another tender was already completed when the yacht was launched. It seems that both tenders were built at Meyerwerft. On the picture of Fatboy you can see that a photographer was taking pictures yesterday, maybe for a future article...

Royal Denship has a new website dedicated to the tenders. Now they are known under the name Royal Tender. Here is the link to the official website : http://www.royaltender.com

These tenders are usually designed by Espen Øino. They can be customised in length and colors. A new limo tender was recently launched. This model is longer, with a LOA of 9.3 metres. This large limo will be displayed at the Dubai International Boat Show, in March 2008.

The picture above shows the open tender displayed at the Monaco Yacht Show 2007, with a LOA of 7.5 metres. The first hull of this series is the tender of Dilbar. But do you know if this model is the tender of a yacht now?

Yachtwerft Meyer is another interesting yard for tenders. Their products are also known under the name "12th Sense".

They built tenders for many yacht like Al Salamah, Le Grand Bleu, Annaliesse, Alysia, Coral Island (the atypical floating platform stored on the bathing-platform), Oasis, Linda Lou, Zenobia, etc...

You certainly remarked their limousines on Kogo, and Alfa Nero (see picture). And they also recently delivered a beautiful classic tender for Aviva III.

Interesting that these yachts are choosing the San Juan boats over the Hinckley boats that they copied.

The latest April Fool carry's a SanJuan 30 in a garage located aft of the bridge. Obviously this means the tender is several decks above the waterline.

About the post of Maarten (04/10/2006) the tender is a San Juan 38 (website sanjuanyachts.com). I have a funny story to it. My dad actually has the same one, also a San Juan 38, and we usually cruise around the Sardenia area with it, with the boat located in Cala di Volpe, near Porto Cervo, a bay where all yachts come in the summer. The owner of Lady Moura always watched us and came onboard ones and talked to us how great it would be and everything... So he decided to buy two of them. They dont fit ondeck, but follow. One is located in St. Tropez and one follows Lady Moura most of the time. It's a surprise to see that April Fool has got one. It's a good choice, but I think too big for her. You can sleep on it comfortably for a weekend, and it's fast (40 knts max. speed with our engine, which is the biggest so maybe a bit slower). With her bowthruster, it's certainly the boat of this size the most easy to manoeuvre.

Here is a picture of the limo tender of Limitless. I wasn't sure that it was a dedicated tender for the yacht. Thanks to a gushl's picture I have the confirmation now. The tender did the shuttle between Limitless and the IYCA during the summer 2006. According to Andy Lindy, it was built by Cantiere Motonautico Serenella in Murano, Venice.

Another picture of Lioncub a full speed, crossing a sister. It followed her mothership Lionheart. It was funny to take this picture, "be at the good place at the good moment".

The Benetti Lionheart's tender is a Cigarette Heritage 45 built in Italy under licence by OTAM : http://www.otam.it/... It has been repainted during the winter to look "as new" beside the new Lionheart.

Good question, I don't really know. It looks like an US product. I saw it in action during the last week-end, and it's very fast! I will post other pictures...

Do you have specifications of Lioncub? It's the tender of the Benetti Lionheart. I saw it in Monaco. Very impressive!

Coral Island was at Lürssen yard during the winter. It's hard to find the modification on the yacht, but it's easy to see those on her tenders. The tenders were changed in 2005. They were painted in a metallic grey (picture on the left). This year, the tenders are painted in the same beige than the hull of Coral Island (picture on the right).

Not as exciting as April Fool herself, but one thing we can show of her yet is one of her tenders. Its too big to be stored on deck so it will probably follow her (two regular sized tenders will be located behind her bridge). Note April Fool's logo on the tender. The logo consists of two kissing dolphins holding drinks, forming a heart in the middle.
