Interesting news from willawake, Al Riyadh could be on way to a refit. The highly damaged superstructure is removed now. You can discover some recent pictures on Will's website : http://www.yachtmati.com/...

According to an old article about her refit, it seems that the new length of Al Riyadh is 67m.

Thank you Tansy, Yachtspotter and willawake! Hope that she will be brought back to her former glory!

Thanks to willawake, we have a picture of Al Riyadh. Hard to imagine her future. Note that she was lengthened before the fire : her stern is different with a bathing-platform.

Some more words about the yard. The yacht Henriette is in the background of this picture. It seems that she's under refit. Issham al Baher was also in the yard when this picture was taken, ten days ago.

Thanks. Do you have any pictures to post? It would be interesting to see what she looks like.

About Al Riyadh, she is at a shipyard in Elfsis Lamda Shipyards to be precise (where she burnt). She is still there untouched and uncovered (she's been covered for a while so that she wasn't visible to media) and will remain there until all insurance parties will finalize on what to do with her. So far there has been no agreement on the cause of the fire.

I remember reading that the beautiful 65m Feadship Al Riyadh suffered from a severe fire and was a total loss. What has happened to the yacht since? Scrap? Rebuilt? Pictures anyone?
