Posted by Yachtspotter | 09/06/2008 @ 12:05 | Reply No doubt about that, she's supposed to be the successor of another yacht with a lot of enclosed decks... |
Posted by Mark | 09/06/2008 @ 12:00 | Reply One thinks perhaps for a Middle Eastern owner - given the almost non-existant open deck space. |

Posted by Reef | 09/01/2008 @ 09:05 | Reply On 30 August 2008, I was in Ancona for the launch of the new CRN 60m (hull 123), named MS. At first impression it seems that the yacht has no name, but there is only a logo in the back with the name. Some pictures soon. |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 08/22/2008 @ 11:35 | Reply A new name on a CRN128 has been spotted, this name is Sanoo. Any information is welcome, thanks! |

Posted by Reef | 09/10/2007 @ 22:30 | Reply I was in Ancona the day 9 september for the christening of the CRN 54m Maraya. Usual lines, nothing new to say, I didn't see anything really new in the line. I heard the chief of CRN that said they have contracts for other yachts till 72m and they have just taken a contract for a 75m. |
Posted by Johan | 06/21/2007 @ 23:00 | Reply The stern of Emerald Star looks like a mini version of Lady Moura, while she has hints of Princess Mariana (the lower deck windows, they are too large to be called portholes) and of Pelorus (the rounded
bridge wing). Anyone who can find other yachts in her? |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 06/21/2007 @ 12:30 | Reply
Here is a picture of Emerald Star, picture taken few minutes after her launch. I thank the spotter who took this photo for sharing it with us. On this aft view you can see the "bathing platform" deck, linked to a gymnasium, a common point with the last steel hulls also built by the yard. I have also the feeling that the mast is slightly slided forward in comparison to the original design, to accommodate a helipad on the upper aft deck. |

According to him : "the event began at 6.00 pm at the CRN shipyard and was opened to the public. The owner was not present, but Norberto Ferretti said that the owner is a "great friend" and took part with him to the offshore World championship some years ago." |

Posted by Yachtspotter | 07/04/2006 @ 13:15 | Reply Indeed! She could be for an owner from the Middle East, their yachts have often more crew members. She will be the sister of GiVi which has 12 guests and a crew of 20. |
Posted by Johan | 07/04/2006 @ 13:00 | Reply Take a look at the layout of the 60 metre project named "123" as well. She will have accommodation for no less than 18 guests and 38 crew! |

Posted by Merijn | 02/15/2005 @ 11:45 | Reply Interesting link as I also see that The Pearl is on the list. As this list is up to date I assume she is still somewhere (again) under refit in Dubai. Any news of here from Dubai? Link : http://www.thtyachts.com/... |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 09/16/2004 @ 10:30 | Reply New official website for the shipyard : http://www.crn-yacht.com. It's interesting with a good gallery of the historical fleet. Note that Cedar Sea II is removed from it. And there are also pictures of the yachts under construction. |
Posted by Christo303 | 03/26/2004 @ 15:30 | Reply Cedar Sea indeed had a big refit at CRN where her stern was modified and the sundeck was added above the glass dome of the piano bar. I wonder if her owner was very satisfied with the result because very soon after he took her to L?rssen where she received a new refit.
Her interior is indeed of the most extraordinary kind as I never saw on any other yacht. It?s something out of the oriental tales from 1001 nights... The interior is filled with gold, marble, onyx, silver, ivory, jade, statues, paintings, murals, painted ceilings, ceilings in coloured glass... If you happen to find a copy of the Superyachts Volume III, you can take a look at her interior. Extraordinary! |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 03/25/2004 @ 15:00 | Reply No you're right, Cedar Sea II was built by Feadship in 1986. But the yacht had a lot of refits, including a large one with the modification of the stern (with addition of a bathing-platform) and the sundeck. So it is probable that this refit took place in this shipyard. But the year 1973 is a mystery... The pictures of the interior are the good one : Cedar Sea II has a so particular decoration. |
Posted by Merijn | 03/24/2004 @ 10:30 | Reply On the website of CRN are some pictures of Cedar Sea II. If I understood it correct they say, that they have build Cedar Sea II in 1973, but she was build at Van Lent in 1986. Does anybody know why she is on the website of CRN and are the pictures of the interior from Cedar Sea II? |
