On the Benetti website hull BT016 is named Gulf Queen. Has she been renamed Tradition or was Tradition renamed Gulf Queen? All these Benetti's are confusing me.

Just a revision about little mysteries that we had. The Benetti named Gulf Queen seems to be a Classic 120 (hull BC111 or BC112). And the Benetti named Tradition, recently spotted in Varrazze, is the hull BT16.

Three new Benetti are already available to charter before their launches :
- the first is Alibella (FB238), a new 50 meters design : http://www.burgessyachts.com/...
- the second is Amnesia (FB245), a 60 meters yacht : http://www.cnconnect.com/...
- the third is Latinou (FB237). She should be available to charter thru Fraser Yachts

Confirmation on page 14 of the Benetti Magazine. And some interior photographies of Blue Vision, interior designed by François Zuretti. And a little preview of Latinou (on page 20). Some words about the FB237, a balcony in owners' suite and a futuristic elevator on five decks. French owners will charter it. Link : http://view.vcab.com/...

Merci Jacques :). Indeed I switched the two hull IDs, all my apologies. Your message could be the solution of the mystery of the blue Benetti Vision spotted in Viareggio (03/20/2007). According to a report we thought that it was Idyllwild this summer, but recent news said that Idyllwild is still white. So that could be Blue Vision. Any confirmation is welcome!

Just to revise a little mistake that I read, Blue Vision is the 9th Benetti Vision launched. But her hull number is BV08 (Geanelle is BV09). She was delivered in June 2007.

Two of the last Tradition launched : Quid Pro Quo (BT14), and another one named Tradition (temporary registration VG170TEMP). We can imagine that Tradition was built on spec by Benetti, and she's waiting for an owner. Any details are welcome...

I read in an Italian newspaper that Mylo (BC109) has a special minimalist interior. The furnishing has been designed and created by the French house Modénature, so by the designer Henry Becq. To give you an idea of their work : http://www.modenature.com/...

Yes Robby, here is this scale-model. I'm sorry for the poor quality of the picture (that's why I didn't post it before), but there was a lot of sun when I took it, and there was a big reflected light on the window. I will take a better picture next time I will be in Monaco. Indeed she looks like a sister of Sai Ram. A special feature for the owner suite, the supposed porthole of the middle is a balcony.

She is hull number FB 237 to be launched later this year and she was sold last year by Fraser Yachts.

I was in front of Fraser Yachts at Monaco, and I saw a scale model with the name Latinou. This yacht looks like Sai Ram. I read under the model "currently under construction". Do you know something about this project?

About my question on 03/20/2007, the yacht Paradis M is indeed the BT12, so the 12th hull of the Benetti Tradition series. The yacht was launched in 2006, and delivered in 2007.

A new photo of Benetti FB236 Diane.

Posted by Yachtspotter | 05/20/2007 @ 12:15 | Reply

Thank you Ale! First pictures for Wind and Diane.

With her 59.5 metres, Wind is the larger evolution of the "Amnesia II" series. I'm definitively not a fan of this profile, but it seems that the series has a real success. Four similar sisters of Wind are scheduled to be launched until 2009.

But Diane is a real good surprise, her design seems really attractive. She's the first hull of the 43 metres series. And no doubt that she's also the successor of the Benetti Classic named Diane, and renamed Inouis now.

Allegro is one of the three BC120 under completion in Viareggio. You can see on the picture that this hull has a special modification of her deck in front on the wheelhouse. The design was changed to accommodate a solarium, with a guardrail all around...

Another exclusivity for the website, here are the three next hulls from the Benetti Classic 120 series. Orinokia on the right, Mamma Mia in the middle, and Allegro on the left. The three yachts are under completion in Viareggio, Italy. I'm curious to know their hull numbers... Orinokia is nearly finished. Another empty hull (maybe two) is in the shed.

I spotted a Benetti Tradition named Paradis. Is she the hull BT12? Or is it a new name for a hull previously launched?

Also recently, I spotted a Benetti Vision with a black hull (see picture). I don't think that it's a new yacht. Names are removed on her sides, so I have no idea of her identity. And you?

On the Benetti 120 Classic series :

- hull #3 (BC103) is to be launched before Summer and is called Mi Vida (probably replacing the Azimut 116 with the same name launched in 2004)
- hull #4 (BC104) is to be named yet...
- hull #5 (BC105) will be launched before the end of the year and named Andiamo.

You can find the layout of the BC101 on the C&N website : http://www.cnyachts.com/... There is also a large advertisement about Wild Thyme in the brokers' pages of the last BI. Even if there is nothing new in this evolvement of the Classic 115, the design of the Classic 120 seems better, well proportioned.

Wild Thyme is the second Benetti 120 be lauched, as her Hull ID correctly reads BC102.

The first hull to be launched, aka BC101, is currently lying in Viareggio for sale (asking price $13,950,000) by an American brokerage company who originally got the boat retail sold to an owner that for personal reasons decided to not to take delivery of BC101 but to sell her directly from the shipyard. BC101 is fully equiped and in "turn-key" conditons since January 31, 2006 ready to go...
