Indeed, I received the confirmation. Interesting to notice that another Paladin was presented at the FLIBS. It's a 87ft Johnson Yachts... and her former name was Scott Free.

She's in Nassau. Golden Compass here had her stern name on a temporary covering over her old name on the stern but all of her life rings were painted with Golden Compass.

- the Poole Explorer I is renamed Ciao Bella
- the Northstar Princess Sarah is renamed Sarah
- confirmation that the new name of Lady Frances IV is Lady Andrea
- Just Lucky II should be the new name of the 106ft Via Kassablanca, to be confirmed...
- it seems that the owner changed his mind during her refit, the Burger Chanticleer was relaunched under the same name (and not as Tomboy as previously reported)

The first time I see one of the new ports of registry available in the Cayman Islands shipping registry. The reason for using The Creek is obviously that the Feadship Andiamo already uses George Town and two ships in the same register cannot use the same name and home port.

What is the story behind this recent change of name? The Benetti Allegro was sold few months ago. Then she was spotted in Caribbean (picture of the left, taken by Bob) with both name on the stern, the name Allegro was just hidden by stickers. Few weeks ago she left again the yards in Florida under the name Allegro (picture of the right, taken by Rhonda). Any help is welcome!

Strange event on the yacht Sarasvati. She's renamed (again) Lionshare, with the same typo-graphy and colours. The yacht is at IMS for maintenance. It's a recent event, there is still the name Sarasvati on the life rings. Thanks to Max for the pictures.

Argusea just tied up at Hurricane Hole this afternoon. She has white stickers/decals covering the old name on the stern and side name plates, but has got the name Les Belles now added to the stern. I spoke to a crew member and he confirmed new owner - new name.

- the 1994 Codecasa Bliss is now Ouranos Too
- a 2000 Lavagna which maybe was Gitana is now Vega

Al Salamah seems to be renamed Issham al Baher! According to the port authority of Bremen, Germany a yacht called Issham al Baher is at Lürssen which arrived 2.12.2006. The name of Al Salamah cant be found on the list any more... and Al Salamah arrived 2.12.2006 definitely. But I cant confirm it yet.

The yacht was spotted under her former name in Madeira on December 15, just before her Atlantic crossing. So the name change occurred during the two last weeks of December. But you can see that her name plates were created, and we can imagine that everything was already prepared when the yacht was at Lürssen yard.

In the August 2006 issue of Triton there were a couple of new names but they need to be confirmed : 2000 Delta 160ft/48.8m Gallant Lady is renamed Newvida. The 2003 Richmond 138 ft/42.06m Status Quo is renamed Keri-Lee and to confuse things the 2000 Sovereign 120 ft/36.9m Keri-Lee ex-Melreni was included in the trade.

Sycara III was sold some weeks ago. The yacht is actually moored in the port of Miami. It could be possible that her new name is Sirona III, but I need confirmation. Many rumours give her other new names...

Confirmation that the new name of the Feadship Mi Gaea is Inevitable. She's the successor of the Palmer Johnson now known under the name Second Chance. The yacht is on the Pacific side for the moment. But she's on way to Med via Caribbean.

According to Trinity Yachts' website, it seems that the newly launched Lady Florence is already sold and renamed Mustang Sally. And at the same time, the former Mustang Sally (124ft raised pilothouse) is renamed Wheels. And the new name of the Trinity Imagine is now Carpe Diem.

The former White Heaven III changed name again in the last few months. Originally sold to US owner in 2003 and renamed Bodacious. She was refitted by Trinity just after purchase. Sold again earlier this year to another American and renamed Victoria del Mar.

By the way, the 129 ft. Camper & Nicholson motor yacht Stilvi that was sold in 2001 was renamed Emera - you can find excellent pictures on Willawakes' site - www.yachtmati.com.
