About M/Y La Venetia, sinked years ago, my Company, specialized in underwater intervention, was called a few days ago to project a complete hull recovery from the bottom. From a underwater inspection, the hull seems in perfect condition, so as port owners ask to my company to try to make floating the boat. Coast Guard, Insurance office, port office, are not able to give us a general plan of the boat... Please can you help us to find a general plan about La Venetia?

To answer the question about what happened to Discoverer. She was purchased by a group for conversion to a sailing ship as you mentioned. She was to become a member of the Windjammer Barefoot Cruises fleet, as you mentioned under the name La Mer with a projected launch date in 2005 : http://jammerbabe.com/...
It has been reported that Windjammer has been having some financial problems as of late. This may have impacted the conversion of the Discoverer to La Mer which is currently lying in Windjammer's

The former NOAA 303' ship Discoverer was moved to Trinidad to be converted into a Windjammer ship to be called La Mer. Does anyone know if the ship is in Trinidad, have a pictures of her there? Anyone know the name of the shipyard(s) in Trinidad? Any info would be appreciated.

This is a long shot but worth the try. I have a ships painting of a schooner of Seguin Island, Maine. It is not signed but on the back it reads Aus Yacht Picter. A marine historian said it looked like foreign rigging. I think it was painted late 1800's. I think it was painted off the island to memorialize a transatlantic crossing. I would love any info I could get.
