It's the Feadship Fortunato. This short movie was filmed at Miami Beach Marina in November 2008. I took a couple of pictures that day... |

Posted by Castlerock | 01/21/2009 @ 13:00 | Reply I have been enjoying catching up on some Miami Vice reruns on Hulu, I think it only works in the US. I have been making a list of all the yachts I have seen so far :
Season 2 Ep 18 "The Fix" you will find the 1984 Lloyd's Ships "Night Crossing" before the refit and stretch (now Skyline M) : http://www.hulu.com/...

Posted by Yachtspotter | 12/17/2007 @ 12:30 | Reply Interesting TV show last night. There were three "on board" during this "Zone Interdite". All the visits were done by the respective owners, Mr Ambrous Young for Ambrosia, Mr Peter Harrison for Sojana, and Ms Ineke Bruynooghe for Delphine. |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 12/16/2007 @ 13:50 | Reply The TV show "Zone Interdite" (on the French channel M6) is dedicated to billionaires' passions tonight. One of them is the megayachts. Maybe a good opportunity to discover new details about yachts, projects or owners... |
Posted by Castlerock | 11/28/2007 @ 23:00 | Reply On todays radio program On Point, host Jane Clayson interviewed Tom Perkins. Perkins talks a fair bit about Maltese Falcon and his upcoming Transatlantic crossing scheduled for next Wednesday : http://www.onpointradio.org/... |
Posted by Jacques | 11/27/2007 @ 18:30 | Reply Yesterday I belatedly watched the "Zone Interdite" with Rémi Tessier (11/04/2007). He did a visit on Parsifal III. And he also showed the working process on Celeste, the first Italcraft 105. The Greek owner was a bit disappointed because the yard was very late. After a few more months the yacht was delivered, and he was happy from the result. Another beautiful interior signed Tessier ! A picture : http://www.inrizzardi... |
Posted by Castlerock | 11/05/2007 @ 11:20 | Reply There was an in depth interview with Tom Perkins onboard MF on tonight's 60 Minutes : http://www.cbsnews.com |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 11/04/2007 @ 21:05 | Reply It was exclusively about Rémi Tessier for the yachts. There was a long on board on Parsifal III with Tessier and the Danish owner. Tessier said that the interior design cost approximately 15,000 to 20,000 € by m². It was also interesting to learn that he is working on 7 other projects... |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 11/04/2007 @ 19:00 | Reply Tonight the TV show "Zone Interdite" (on the French channel M6) is dedicated to the French interior designers "à la mode". Some pictures of Parsifal III and the MYS were in the preview... |
Posted by Andy Lindy | 04/27/2007 @ 12:30 | Reply Having seen the three onboard features of Antonisa, Tiara and Amnesia on Thalassa and "met" these three very charismatic owners, I would like to quote myself from something I wrote earlier because I do feel that it's very true :
"True also what you say about many yacht owners not being particularly well known to the public. In fact many megayachts are owned by people not being on the Forbes "World's Billionaires" or not even on the "400 Richest Americans" list. And many people on these lists don't even own a rowboat or a day cruiser!
Owning a large yacht - not to speak of building it - is a question of lifestyle, interest and priorities. Some people really use a quite large part of their financial resources to buy and maintain a yacht. It's very individual and, strangely enough, megayacht owners are people too and as different from one another as people in general are. There is no "megayacht owner profile" to be established. The only thing we know for sure is of course that these people have much more money than most but the similarities stop there." |
Posted by Jacques | 04/20/2007 @ 23:00 | Reply And the 2nd is the sailyacht Tiara. We saw both owners aboard... |
Posted by Jacques | 04/20/2007 @ 20:50 | Reply The show is beginning. Beautiful aerial pictures of Eleonora E and Victoria of Strathearn sailing off the islands. One of the two yachts is Altitude. I think that we already saw this "reportage" last season (like Antonisa)... |
Posted by Andy Lindy | 04/20/2007 @ 19:30 | Reply Last week there was on Thalassa an onboard feature of Pasquale Natuzzi's Antonisa. Very nice sailing yacht. I think this week's Thalassa will have something similar. |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 04/20/2007 @ 19:00 | Reply Tonight, the TV show Thalassa will be organized on the Lerins islands off Cannes, France. A part of the show will be dedicated to the megayachts. Two of them will feature. Thalassa is on the French channel France3, but it's also possible to follow it in the World on TV5 Monde. Thanks to Andy Lindy for the news! |

Posted by Yachtspotter | 03/07/2007 @ 11:15 | Reply It's Dalma, anchored off the city. She appeared a couple of seconds at the end of a subject about the Palm Jumeirah. You can see the video on http://jt.france2.fr (JT 20hr 03/06/07). |
Posted by Bastien | 03/07/2007 @ 11:10 | Reply I watched news on French TV yesterday. There was a topic about Dubai and they showed Dalma or Alysia in Dubai Marina. Usually topics are displayed 2 or 3 days after shooting. |
Posted by Marian | 03/01/2007 @ 20:30 | Reply The Travel Channel (USA) is featuring the Mirabella V tonight at 10pm EST. |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 01/19/2007 @ 20:30 | Reply Tonight on Thalassa you can follow the Arctic odyssey of Tara : http://www.taraexpeditions.org/... |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 05/14/2006 @ 19:30 | Reply You can follow the Act 10 of the America's Cup every day on TV : http://www.americascup.com/... It's possible to see many yachts in the marina and in the background of the races. You can also hear some yachts' news. For example on the French TV today, the presenters said that the PJ120 Hush is owned by the Bertarelli family. That seems logical because the yacht is moored next to Vava in the Marina... Hush was launched for an Australian owner and was recently sold. |
Posted by Carew | 02/01/2006 @ 20:35 | Reply Thanks for mentioning the Freedom of the Seas. That's the first I've heard of it and since I am interested in cruise ships as well as yachts (although far more into yachts!), I looked it up and it makes no sense! It's almost 50 feet wider than the Queen Mary II, which will make it easily the widest cruise ship in the world. It will be slightly heavier than the QM II, making it the heaviest cruise ship in the world, yet for some bizarre reason, it will be slightly shorter than the QM II which will keep it from taking the title from Mary! Why would Royal Caribbean do that? Hasn't all the attention Mary got for being the world's largest passenger ship ever helped her sales?!?! It must have! If Royal Caribbean had only made her another 30 or so feet (which is nothing on a ship that is over 1100 feet long) longer, she could have taken the title! Crazy!!! |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 01/27/2006 @ 23:15 | Reply Very good Thalassa tonight on the French channel France3. Focus on the liners and the cruise ships with the Queen Mary II, the Freedom of the Seas under construction in Finland, the cruise ships of the future (with few minutes on Wallypower), and the Normandie (with exclusiv color movies of 1939). To see worldwide through the channel TV5. Have a look on their website to know the future diffusion : http://www.tv5.org |
Posted by Dan | 07/15/2003 @ 12:00 | Reply The Feadship Blue Moon starred in an episode of Joan Lunden's show, "Behind Closed Doors". In the first half of the segment, Joan toured Blue Moon with her captain and crew, and the second half was footage from Feadship showing the design and construction process. Only about 30 mins long, but some very nice video footage of Blue Moon underway. |
