I was in Venice on July 27th and I saw Avangard II. This yacht amazed me. But she was not directly at the pier near Marcus Place in Venice. And damn I had only my small camera with me. The helicopter is an Agusta A-109 registered in Germany.

Nice work J&I, thank you!

Funny to see that everybody on the pier took a picture of this moment. Even in the mast of the yacht, I can see two men (see picture), maybe some crew members!

Was it the delivery day?

It's interesting to see that the helicopter is becoming a real tender on large yachts. And now the detail in vogue is to personalize this expensive toy with the colors of the yacht. It was the case on Skat, Kingdom 5KR, etc..., and now on Anna.

The EC-145 helicopter which we have frequently seen on Le Grand Bleu in recent years, P4-LGB, was seen in England about 10 days ago. This winter season, Le Grand Bleu has been spotted carrying another heli, P4-XTC (an EC-135), which as the name suggests "should" belong to Ecstasea.

We havnt seen a lot of heli activity on Ecstasea since she was launched... perhaps her heli hangar has become one of the worlds most expensive store rooms?!

Strange, Méduse is supposed to be at the FLIBS. Maybe she will be back after the Show...

So Méduse is leaving the Med then? Maybe someone should warn the captain that they forgot one of Méduse's tenders in Antibes... Its still sitting on the quai.

Interesting picture Mike. Funny to see that it was exactly the same when Tatoosh was ready to cross the Atlantic one year ago. There was the same elaborate "sock" to protect her helicopter...

I think that it's the main helipad of Tatoosh.
