I was surprised to see the omission of the "Services to Marine Sciences" award, won HRH Prince Khaled Bin Sultan, the owner of the Golden Fleet. He should be congratulated for contributing to the preservation of our oceans fragile resources for future generations.

Funny indeed! I'm also surprised to see twice time two sisters from the same yard in the section "Best Semi-displacement or Planing Motor Yacht in the 40m+ size range". You can find the couple Vango/Evviva, and also Barchetta/Marathon...

Under the section "Other Awards", the description for Gary Comer's achievement might raise some eyebrows! Presumably, a typo...!

Big Roi (now Force Blue) was the first to assist Mirabella V : http://www.gov.im/...
Both yachts were awarded by ISS in 2004 :

"...awards are being presented to the entire crew of both the Esctasea and the Big Roi for their outstanding efforts on behalf of the Mirabella V in late September just prior to the Monaco Boat Show."

Speaking of Mirabella V and salvage ; Does anyone know how the Captain and his crew on Ecstasea was awarded/rewarded for their heroic achievement that windy day off Cap Ferrat some 2 years ago? I guess if it wasn't for them there wouldn't be any Mirabella V around...!

This news of another rescue, by the Mirabella V, somehow escaped everyone's notice. It's well worth reading though : http://www.bymnews.com/...
