Even if she's under 30m, here is a very nice design with the Argos 92. First hull of this series made in China. A larger version is under construction. |

Another US built yacht is this new hull of the Westport 130 series. She's the third one of the re-designed series. The first one is Miss Michelle, also spotted in Fort Lauderdale. And the second one is Aphrodite. |

The parade of yachts leaving the show started this morning. As usual, it was a nice moment, under a very hot sun... After 8 hours under the sun, and 4 litres of water drunk to stay alive, the result is good : 86 yachts over 30 metres, and 48 yachts between 24 and 30 metres. More pictures tomorrow... |

It has been an interesting year in the yachting community and regardless of the condition of the economy some things have enough momentum to keep going. I am talking about the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show which is celebrating it's 50th year. The world's largest boat show has our attention too, as we will be covering the show and reporting back with all the inside news and pictures that you have come to expect.
The show runs from Thursday October 29th through Monday November 2nd in all the usual locations, basically every marina in Ft Lauderdale. Additionally there will be the exhibit halls with vendors from the world over, totaling 3 million plus square feet of show to cover.
