Posted by MW | 09/08/2005 @ 11:15 | Reply Merijn, this yacht has had a chequered history with many changes of name and owners.
Launched as Never Say Never in 1985 by Oceanfast and designed by Phil Curran and Jon Bannenberg, she originally had a length of around 33 metres. The yacht was extended 3 metres to 36 metres in 1994 and also had a helipad added in 1998.
I won't name any owners here but give you the changes of name as
follows : Never Say Never; Never Even Say Never; Lady Myth; Always; Odyssey; Apocalypse; Prosper; Never Say Never. She now belongs to an owner based in Coral Gables, Florida. I hope that answers your question. |
Posted by Merijn | 09/03/2005 @ 12:00 | Reply Here is a drawing of the yacht with the name Apocalypse : http://nautica21xx.expo21xx.com/... She was sold when she was Prosper : http://www.premierys.com/...
Right now the yacht is active on the charter market under the name Never Say Never : http://www.yachtportfolio.com/...
She joined International Yacht Collection in April/May 2005 under the name Never Say Never. So we are coming closer. |

Posted by Yachtspotter | 09/01/2005 @ 22:45 | Reply Merijn, I think that one of her previous (or actual) name is Prosper... |
Posted by Merijn | 09/01/2005 @ 18:30 | Reply About Never Say Never, I had published some pictures, but I am not sure about her former names. I know she was build as Never Say Never. I also heart a name Lady Myth. Can anyone tell me her previous names?
Regarding the refit I only know that she was around 33.3m at the time of her launch and know she has a length of 37.19m. And the refit took place in 2004
by I think an American shipyard. |
Posted by Castlerock | 09/01/2005 @ 09:50 | Reply Do you know the time period that would have taken place? I know she ran aground in the summer of 2004 and had work done then just in time for a Christmas charter. |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 08/31/2005 @ 16:30 | Reply Do you know which shipyard lengthened the Oceanfast Never Say Never? I suppose that she had other modifications (like her radar mast) at the same time... |
