Posted by Kootenay67 | 05/23/2007 @ 10:00 | Reply Something for fun - a scale model of Dubai with a blue hull which I thought was cool but I guess out of the question in the heat of the Gulf but still she looks very nice with a blue hull : http://good-times.webshots.com/... |
Posted by gushl | 04/27/2007 @ 12:45 | Reply When I was there in March, Dubai was docked around the corner, where the Google picture shows two tugs manoevering a commercial ship. 24 58'58.433 N, 55 03'14.24 E.
The floating drydock (in the Google pic just infront of Dubai) was still in the same position, with the top deck of a yacht visible : http://rides.webshots.com/... This might be the Cosmos project (aka Night Sky). |

Posted by Julian | 04/27/2007 @ 10:35 | Reply Is it possible to get the lat and lon of her berth so I could take a peek? |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 07/14/2006 @ 19:05 | Reply According to some sources, her LOA is 162 metres, including her 2 metres bathing-platform. |
Posted by Merijn | 07/14/2006 @ 19:00 | Reply Now she appeared on Google Earth we can also measure here and I came to a length of around 160.5m. Anyone with different results? |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 07/10/2006 @ 12:30 | Reply Some news about the future homeport of Dubai. According to a spotter, "her new berth outside of Sheikh Mohammed's Palace has its own island to dock at. Very impressive!" We will know more soon, after her delivery... |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 05/05/2006 @ 16:05 | Reply Great picture indeed, and the first that I know with her official name on the side, Dubai. |
Posted by gushl | 05/05/2006 @ 16:00 | Reply There's a new photo on ShipSpotting.com! Great pic!! Link : http://www.shipspotting.com/... |
Posted by Maarten | 02/07/2006 @ 19:10 | Reply The picture on shipspotting.com clearly shows the sidedecks behind the wheelhouse are divided into sections, like on board most cruise ships. You can imagine this area features some VIP cabins, with private balconies. |
Posted by Yachtspotter | 02/07/2006 @ 12:00 | Reply Another picture, more recent : http://www.shipspotting.com/... Many new details on the superstructure, she seems to be nearly finished (from the exterior). But what can we say about the interior? Rumours said that her delivery date could be for June... |
Posted by Merijn | 02/07/2006 @ 11:05 | Reply After some sea trials in the last weeks, Dubai is again in her dock. It looks like everything of the yacht is uncovered now, but no idea when she will be finished. |
