We were the first to publish an article about this explorer yacht. Axantha was launched by the French shipyard JFA, based in Concarneau in Brittany. The entire design and the engineering has been effectuated by the well-know Dutch design studio Vripack. For information, Axantha is the sister-ship of Dardanella, a yacht built by Vitters, Holland.
The lower deck accommodates, from the stern to the bow : a garage with access to the swimming platform, engine room, the owner?s suite and four guests suites, each equipped with their own bathroom. Next, we find laundry, the 4 crew cabin (with 3 bathrooms in all), crew mess and galley.
On the main deck, we find the main saloon, the dining room, a bar and, forward, a galley on the port side and the lobby/staircase on the starboard side. The deck outside contains tenders with their cranes, and a second access for the crew quarters.
The upper deck contains a panoramic saloon at the rear, a small lobby, captain's cabin with his bathroom and the wheelhouse.
To finish, the sundeck includes a vast teak area where a laser dinghy can be stowed thanks to a crane put on the port side. Forward is a teak terrace, situated above the wheelhouse. |
