Comments
By Yachtspotter.

The design of Solaia reminds us immediately of the style of Diana Yacht Design. We find detailings from previous creations of this design office. We could regret that her style is too traditional. On this unit, the innovations come mainly from her installation. At first sight, this one seems conventional. But in the details, we notice that spaces are marvellously exploited to the maximum. A double internal staircase (one for the crew, and one for the passengers) allows a good circulation between the various decks. Deprived of those, the external lines are refined. Decoration is sober. In certain parts, it seems a little sad.

The lower deck accommodates an engine room (aft) insulated very well : the noise level of Solaia is one of lowest existing. To the center we find the three guests staterooms and a gymnasium (with sauna). Forwards there are the crew quarters.

The main deck accommodates the main lounge, the dining room (aft), the galley (to the center) and the owner's suite (forwards).

On the upper deck, we find a TV-saloon followed by the captain?s stateroom, an office and the pilothouse.

The sundeck is very well conceived : a Jacuzzi (aft), a covered bar (to the center) and a large solarium offering a panoramic view (forwards). Additionally Solaia introduces a lift serving the three decks. Her great range and storage capacities allow her some extensive cruisings.

Solaia had a refit at Jongert yard in 2005. Her sundeck was altered.
