By Yachtspotter.

Sussurro (whisper in Italian) was a revolution at the time of her creation. She was the first leading edge High Speed Feadship, contrasting completely with the traditional creations from the Dutch shipyard.

In order to create an adapted hull, the architects of Feadship called upon Don Shead to draw her lines. His experience in racing boats and at Sunseeker allowed him to develop the largest deep-vee hull. To reach optimum performances, the weight contribution was also essential. The use of composite materials made it possible to reach a total mass, twice lower of the other yachts of same configuration.

Her motorization is impressive. Two diesel engines initially make it possible to reach a speed of 28 knots. Moreover, two gas turbines connected to a central jet produce the power necessary to exceed the 46 knots!

In spite of these formidable performances, the installation of Sussurro is exceptional. Of tropical design, it picks up on the style of a famous Bali hotel. More of than being just original, the furniture is accommodating and of good taste.

The lower deck accommodates a room completely intended for the diving (with sauna) opening to the bathing platform. The remainder of this deck contains the engine room, four guests staterooms (to the center), and the crew quarters (forwards).

The main deck accommodates the main lounge, the dining room (aft), the galley (to the center) and the owner?s suite (forwards).

The sundeck is particular. It is composed of the pilothouse followed by a mast which has a helm station. Behind, a great large zone accommodates bar, tables and solarium. Aft there are two impressive funnels and a tender.
