Like all her successors, Atlantic Goose (formerly known as Brave Goose) raises a splendid marine blue hull. She was originally owned by Sir Donald Gosling who now owns Leander G. In spite of her years, the general state of this megayacht is impeccable. It should be specified that this unit underwent a two years restoration at Derecktor shipyard. In addition to one general overhaul, the principal modification was the creation of a bathing platform. As our photographs attest, this extension includes a staircase and a hatch allowing an external access to the technical rooms. Decoration, in the English manor house? did style, has not changed since her launch.
Interior installation is atypical. The dining room occupies the main deck. Note the presence of a library, but not of saloon. Instead the main lounge is on the upper deck. On the sundeck, an astonishing crow?s nest (see photographs) offers panoramic views on the sea. The cabins follow a more conventional arrangement : the owner's suite is on the main deck (forwards) and three guests staterooms are on the lower deck (to the center). Astutely, a suite on the lower deck can to transform its corner lounge into an additional bedroom thanks to a mobile partition. |
