Posted by Yachtspotter | 08/20/2008 @ 22:00 | Reply Today it was possible to spot Endeavour in Qingdao, China. The beautiful J came back in the marina (one of the rare Chinese marinas) at the end of the men's Windsurfing regatta for the Olympic Games. Tomorrow is the last day for the Olympic regattas. |

Posted by Yachtspotter | 01/14/2008 @ 12:30 | Reply The hull of Lionheart was recently turned over at Freddie Bloemsma's yard in Holland. Now the hull of the future biggest J-Class (44m) is shipped to the Claasen yard where she will be finished. Posted by Gross-Segler | 05/08/2006 @ 17:30 | Reply Shamrock V was in Genoa Charter Yacht Show 2-6 May, looking quite excellent. She was presented there by Yachting Partners, and aims to charter West Med for 2006. Another restoration by Elizabeth Meyer, who led with Endeavour. |

Posted by Yachtspotter | 01/27/2006 @ 18:22 | Reply Endeavour has already her card in the database (http://www.yachtspotter.com...). She was recently spotted in Newport Shipyard. It seems that Shamrock V is berthed in Mallorca for the winter. I'm waiting for the confirmation. |
Posted by MedRascal | 01/27/2006 @ 18:15 | Reply The sailing yacht Endeavour is one of the most beautiful classic sailingboats today. She was part of the Legendary "America's Cup" in the early 30s where the famous "J-Class" was created (http://www.jclassyachts.com) Endeavour (1934) is a J-Class.
Today at least 6 other sisterships are known to be fully restored and still sailing/racing :
Velsheda (1933)
Shamrock V (1930)
Cambria (1928)
Astra (1928)
Candida (1929)
Also, there is a modern sistership replica built in 2004 by Danish Yachts from the design of the original 1937 America's Cup defender Ranger - http://www.sy-ranger.com |
